Co-President Shani Varricchione: Adoptive parent. With both children as current enthusiastic Camp For Me campers, Shani became involved in camp in recent years. A resident of Vermont since middle-school, she returned to the area after attending college in Maine. She is a licensed Dale Carnegie Course Trainer and has been fortunate to work with a number of local organizations as they invest in their employees to increase leadership, enhance communication skills, and improve teamwork.

MC Baker My husband and I started a school in Papua New Guinea and I knew that I wanted to someday get into education. I received my Teaching license through the TAP program. I hold a Level 2 H.Q.T. Art Educators License. I have been teaching Art for over 15 years. I’m the Art teacher at Fletcher Elementary School in Cambridge and Mater Christi School in Burlington. I am a member of the Red Clover Committee (part of the Department of Libraries) that nominate 10 picture books and promote reading in Vermont. I believe that students thrive when they are given the opportunity to add complexity to projects and have a growth mindset in their learning. I enjoy connecting art with other disciplines. Art connects the dots and makes learning more engaging. To get a glimpse into my art studio, check out my blog or follow me on Twitter @MCBakerVT
