CAMP STAFF:

Hillary Wheeler: A new year and a new last name… I am so excited to return to Camp For Me! This will be my third summer at camp and I am delighted to work with the teen group again. I can’t wait to meet new campers and play huge all-camp Capture the Flag games. Gaga Ball is still one of my favorite activities but I have to say last year’s DIY Slip and Slide was super fun too. I look forward to all of the new adventures we will have together. See you at Camp For Me 2016!

Sera Hyjek: I’m an adopted only child who was born and raised in Vermont, surrounded by lots of friends and wonderful parents. At age nine I attended my first summer camp and I was hooked for the next eight years, both as a camper and counselor. After working for a few years at a Boston nonprofit, I returned to graduate school to study elementary education. Currently I teach 1st and 2nd grade at Westford Elementary School. I love cooking, running, playing ukulele, laughing, and the ocean. This will be my first year at Camp for Me, and I look forward to spending my time with the youngest campers.

Jesse Cote: I am a recent graduate from American University in Washington DC, where I studied International Relations with a focus in development and education. This is my second summer working at Camp For Me and I am very excited to be the Archery Instructor again. One of my interests is traveling; I have traveled to 15 different countries. I have been working with youth for a few years now through various programs including tutoring, after school programs, and sports. Outside of school I do a lot of community service throughout DC, working with the homeless, elderly, veterans, and youth. Having worked at Camp For Me last summer, I know what a special and unique family is formed at camp. I am looking forward to another great summer, seeing familiar faces and welcoming new ones!

Christine Aldrich: Hi! I’m super excited to be joining the Camp For Me staff this summer! I have a Master’s degree in Education, with more than 5 years of experience teaching and coaching at Edmunds Middle School in Burlington. I love working with young people and helping them navigate the challenges of finding their place in the world. Being born and raised in Vermont, I love what this beautiful state has to offer. In my free time I love to hike, swim, kayak and snowboard. Outside is where it’s at! I look forward to meeting everybody this summer!

Alison Pariseau: I’m Alison, and this is my second year working at Camp For Me. This year I’ll be running the sports activities! When I’m not at Camp For Me, I work as an Athletic Trainer, hold a PE Teaching license, work with Special Education at MMUHS, teach snowboarding at Sugarbush in the winter, and kayak/SUP guide with Clearwater Sports in the summer. I enjoy skateboarding, snowboarding, rock climbing, hiking, and almost anything that is outside and active. Soccer and hockey are my two favorite team sports, as well as recreational softball. I also enjoy reading and spending time with my friends, and my two wonderful, playful, and kind of crazy cats.

Jenny Norris: I have worked in education for over ten years as an elementary class teacher and teaching artist. I trained in Primary Education at the Institute of Education in London, England, specializing in arts integration. Currently I work as a teaching artist in schools for the Flynn Center for the Performing Arts. See you at camp!

Colin Bradley: At Camp For Me this summer I will be the Outdoor Nature Immersion Eco Full of Play Counselor, helping campers connect to the natural world in an expansive, heart-centered way. One of my aims in life is to meet kids where they are at in their knowledge and comfort in an outdoor environment and guide them to having connected, eye-opening experiences. I have studied at the University of Vermont and Metta Earth Institute, which has led me to direct nature camps for the South Burlington Parks and Rec Department. In my spare time I like to bathe in the sunshine, eat healthy food, sing songs, sit by a fire on the beach, and PLAY!

Sofia Dallas-Severance: Hello! I will be a Counselor In Training helping out with the 10 to 12 year olds this summer. I have attended Camp For Me since age 13 and I am so excited to be able to come back as a staff member. In my free time I love to read, write poetry and music, sing, and dance. Looking forward to a great summer!
